Santosh Thapa's Safatik is out
A proficient drummer and singer Santosh Thapa has come up with his innovative collection Safatik. Album was released on 15 June 2008 at Celebration Pub Thamel. Rajendra Grung
principal/music director of Nepal police school and secretary of music association of Nepal had inaugurated the album.
The compilation is marketed and distributed by Maya Records. There are 8 songs in the collection. All the songs are original compositions without remixes. The album bears a rock pattern. Album belongs to soft rock and slow rock genre and most interesting part is some song will drag us back to 60’s rock genre also. In the lively music video of “Maski Maski” the admired song of this collection was shown to the media and audience on release. Artists like Sawan Dev Shrestha and D.J Asha were present in the launch as guests.
In this gathering, singer Santosh Thapa performed three songs from his album and two cover songs of Deep Purple : solider of fortune and feel like making love of bad Company as well. Guest artists Sawan Dev and D.J Asha also sung out their numbers. Recording works are ended from Katmandu Digital and from Rodi Digital studios. He has been in the music field for a decade now and is inspired by western rock melody. So that soloist is cheerful and hopeful that his new album will do well.
