24 Carat gathers multitude of singers

With an ensemble of various singers, “24 Carat Collection” is the fresh musical album produced by Golden Gate Academy. The album has its lyrics all written by G.M.Pradhan and songs mixed by Mohit Munal. All songs have been arranged by Mohit Munal except track no.1 and 8.

Album starts with the song “Gori” performed by Babu Bogati featuring Araj Keshab. Araj has composed the song which is arranged by Shailen Pradhan. Lyric is directed towards a “gori” (girl), asking for her attention. If truth be told, Babu Bogati’s relaxing vocal has really boosted the allure of the song. Besides the rap piece carried out by Araj, the song holds a punch. Next in the row comes the song “Timi Kun” with vocalized and music has also been put in place by Sugam Pokhrel. The soothing vocal of Sugam Pokhrel in the song will remind his fans of his first album where he led the musical charts in his debut compilation. He has composed right kind of song having the depth and vigor to stirs one’s heart.

The song fits in sentimental genre. Another number is “Jau Timi” by Mohit Munal, he has composed the song as well. Moreover, one should not forget he has also strummed guitar in almost all of the numbers comprising in the album. The song “Jau Timi” falls in the sentimental category. The lyric pinpoints a lover pleading the beloved to free him from the love boundary. Music is melodic which is fenced by gentle vocal performance.

Next is “Swarga Ki Rani” by Sanjay Kishore featuring Araj Keshab again. The unique vocal quality of Sanjay has been always promising in his pinnacle of success and this time too he has managed to maintain that standing. Regarding the song, it is a simple commercial number. Next song contained in the album is “Thorai Thorai”. Here we will spot Babu Bogati as a composer and singer. The song is a blend of little eastern classical and a little rock touch as also the title suggests “Thorai Thorai”. Babu Bogati has stepped out somewhat out of the ordinary, into unusual in his composition with the fusion in this track. Lyric goes coherent with the song. Overall it is appreciable depending a lot to the audience pertaining to its success.

Another song is “Pahilo Bhet” with music and vocal by Mohit Munal. Being a versatile artist, he has opted out techno music for this song. Lyric is not as commendable as expected and on the whole, it is an underwhelming performance with comparison to other songs. Next song appears in the list is “Bhool” with Araj putting his vocal in it. With the variations in vocal, Araj Keshab has always proved that he can step forward in any kind of genre of music including rock and rap. The song “Bhool” is an exemplary for this remark. His amiable tone of voice has really suit the song. Likewise, music composition of Mohit Munal has been overwhelming. The last track is arranged and composed by Jems Pradhan. Here Sashi Gurung has crooned the song entitled “Mero Yaad Le”. Deepak Thapa has done the guitar works. It is romantic slow number with a tuneful music and arrangement of Jems Pradhan. Regarding vocal, it is not up to the mark.

With the arrival of blissful Dashain and Tihar, the album may not fulfill the thirst of the environment ever since of its sentimental genre. But in a nutshell, the frisky performance of the artists could be able to drag their listeners attention. It has a slim prospective to smack the Nepali music charts.
